Well, we got ourselves perfect seats...in the middle of the middle of the theater. It wasn't too hard and the theater didn't fill up too much (I'm sure it was an afternoon showing). Half way through the movie I needed to excuse myself to the girls room. When I came back I found my brother and sat next to him again. Only, as I sat down...I noticed the person I was sitting RIGHT next too was not my brother. I know this because we made eye contact and the guy had a questioned look on his face. Well, I think I was in junior high school and so I, of course, was SO embarrassed. HMMM...WHAT DO I DO??!! is all I heard myself screaming. So, I committed to the sit and I sat down. AND I looked straight ahead. AND I pretended I was there on purpose. Then, I heard chuckling behind me. Lots of chuckling...my brother found humor in my embarrassment. I waited until my cheeks cooled off a bit, then after about 5 minutes, I got up and casually walked up to where my brother was actually sitting. Needless to say...I didn't feel like talking about it. AND I had lots to catch up on now from the movie. AND I didn't make eye contact again with my mystery guy as we left the theater.
AH, the funny moments of growing up.
